Home Tanned Moose Hide

Limited quantity of home tanned moose hide pieces traditionally tanned and smoked from the Houle-Schlup family on Treaty 2 Territory.

Home tanned moose hide is highly coveted by beaders and crafts people alike. It is almost felt-like texture which is super nice to bead on. This hide is smoked to a beautiful medium golden colour.

Hide options:

0.5 sqft for small projects: $120
Approximately 6”x12” cut slightly oversize to compensate for natural shape.
(backing earrings, pins, medallions, making small amounts of fringe for earrings etc)

1 sqft for medium projects: $240 (sold out)
Approximately 12”x12” cut slightly oversize to compensate for natural shape.
(Backing medallions, small full hide projects such as medicine pouch)

2 sqft for moccasins or larger projects: $480
Approximately 24”x12” cut slightly oversize to compensate for natural shape.
(Average sized moccasins, larger bags, etc)
